NEED TO RENEW PASSPORT WHAT ABOUT IRRV

Hi

I am sure this may have come up before, but I am traveling to USA in October and my passport expires next March, should I renew my UK passport now before I go and if so how/where do I get my IRRV stickers put in the new one or is this done automatically?

Any advice greatly received.
