Moving to NZ
Hello
My girlfriend and I are looking to move to NZ next August (2008). She is currently a junior doctor and will have finished her training by then and should be able to pick up a job no problem.
My profession, environmental consultant is on the long term skills list, so I don't envisage any major problems there either assuming that I can find a job.
However, it has been suggested to us that I wouldn't need a visa and could instead go and work in NZ on the back of my girlfrends visa. Does anyone know if this is true?
Many thanks in advance for your help
Iain

On you girlfriend's back, eh? Oo er...
Ahem...
Yeah, no problem. You will need to show evidence to NZIS that you and your girlfriend have been in a de facto relationship for a minimum of the previous twelve months.
Good luck.
