I think most on here have done it themselves, can you please explain why you are looking to use an agent, from what has been said in the Australian forum it looks like all you would need to uplift a visa would be a job offer.

another thing on the australian forum about the schooling, in our experience the schooling for the first year or so was awful, so bad in fact I had to report the school to the education ministry, being through the UK system the system here is not on par, schools run with less input from the local authorities which I believe is where the cracks can occur. most children at the first school had to have personal paid extra help for the basic maths and english and quite a few families have removed their children to home school them, so you have to be careful where you choose to live to get a halfway decent school

We was looking into a migration agent to get help with visa and on where to start with looking for jobs. As ideally we would like a job offer before we move and not to sure on where to start :)

we can help on here, unless there is a problem getting a visa, which there does not seem to be for you, there really is little shelling out for a migration agent and all those thousands. All the agent will do is collate the paper work you have to give him and be a middle man for information and passing documents. so things will take longer.

look on trademe or seek for job vacancies and contact a few agencies. make sure OH has his details on linked in.

Check through the Immigration site. you say you have family here? can they advise and help out some
