Medicals & timings

We have our medicals booked for Feb & just want to know some facts about timings.
We will have all the rest of ITA documentation info ready to submit once the medical is complete. We are using Medmigration in Manchester which is one-stop clinic where all tests will be performed on the same day but realise it may take a couple of weeks to get a completed certificate as they will need to wait for X-ray and blood tests is this about right?
Once we have the certificate & X-rays we are ready to submit our ITA (without job offer) we realise it may take 3 -4 months to be assigned a case officier. Will the dreaded Medical Assessor look at the results before then or will we have to wait atleast 3-4 months before we know if our medical is ok or if we require further tests?
I know every case is slightly different but we just want confirmation on this.

Thanks
Dave n Helen
ps both finding January Detox quite hard!

Hi Dave & Helen
Some Medical examiners seem to get results quicker than others but you're right it can take 2+ weeks to get everything back ready for you to submit. Not all medicals have to be reviewed by the MA it depends on your results, past medical history X ray results etc. NZIS guidelines and acceptable levels, can be found on the NZIS web site, look at the handbook for medical assessor (gives acceptable levels eg waist measurements) and also at the medical form, this will tell you what the ME will be asking/checking....I have posted the link for handbook before on here so it might come up if you do a search of the immi forum, post again if you can't find it & will do the link again.

Hi Dave & Helen

We submitted out ITA with medicals in August and were allocated a case officer on New Years Eve! When our case officer introduced herself to us, via email, she said she had sent medical to Medical Assessor at that point. Hope this helps.
