Medicals Booked
Please wish me luck for our medicals on the 9th April, i am on the borderline for the waist measurement but BMI seems fine so am having to fast for 10 hours for the extra blood test, just to be sure..... not sure how i will cope with not eating for that long
Our appointment is at 4pm
Only other thing i am worried about is my sons ADHD have a letter from his Camhs team to give them stating his medication and that is all fine with that and that he is constantly checked by Gp every 3 months and every 6mnths with CAMHS, just really not sure how this will effect our whole application.
Does anyone knows how how much ADHD effects application i would be grateful of any advise

Good luck, it's like sitting a test isn't it, but the older you get the more nervous you are - well I was anyway.
I too was on the boarderline for waist up until the lady gave me the tape to measure my waist!!! I was definately under then!.
Good luck and breath in.

We had our medicals at The Bridge Clinic in December. They were really lovely. Both myself & OH were really worried because although BMIs were well within limits, using tape measure at home we were both over. Anyway we fasted just in case (had an evening appointment so kids didn't miss school & it was easier to fast from 11am to late evening - lol), but nurse pulled in tape measure & measured on thinnest part of waist so was no problem!! Really friendly team & from our experience would thoroughly recommend them. Best of luck.

Hi
When I had my medical last month my waist was 1cm too big! and that was with the doctor's tape measure not exactly taught!! he did not pull it very tight - so I had the extra blood test. Also I seemed to have grown an inch in height - all my life I thought I was 5ft 4inches and the doctor said I was 5ft 5inches - still it helped my BMI to be a bit better - so whose arguing!!
Hoping to move to Tauranga soon!!

Hi Paula
The first nurse measured me under, then the doctor decided she would double check and made me 2cm over so had extra bloods
We also going to be in Tauranga hubby has a job offer at the Hospital

What requirements do you need to pass the medical in terms of waist size and BMI?

If BMI>35 or waist circumference >/equal to 102cm then you will have to have extra fasting blood tests. I think those who are worried tend to go to the medicals starved just in case fasting blood tests are required.
For females you have to have the extra bloods if waist is >/equal to 88cm
