MEDICALS

Hi All

We have just received confirmation from INZ that my medical is being referred to a Medical Adviser. I suffered from depression for 6 weeks from December 2009 but have now finished all treatment and am fully recovered.

Does anyone else know if this is going to be a problem????

Thanks.

Depression in itself isn't necessarily a reason to refuse a visa. I believe that around 2/3 of people suffer from depression at some time in their lives.

I doubt anyone here will be able to give you a definitive answer though as personal circumstances are always different.

Thanks for your support. I suppose they have to look into everything but fingers crossed :fingerscrossed:

Hello,

i am just about to send off my EOI and i am also worried about the medical. My partner suffered from depression a few years ago and was on medication and saw a councillor. He is now ok and off medication and no longer seeing a councillor but it is a worry. Oh and i suffer from IBS, which is a different concern.

I hope yours goes through ok. Good luck. :)
