Medical waiver stage!

Hi
My family and I are so keen to live and work in NZ but have just been rejected by 2nd MA for husbands health problems that STATISTICS say he will require dialysis at later stage of life. According to his consultant, who has written a report, he is not "a text book case" and is showing NO signs of illness. The MA is for the second time reporting statistical concerns and has refused us entry. Next stage is medical waiver, seeing as we have thrown EVERY bit of information we have at this, what are our chances of MW? Do we seek help from a consultancy or lawyer to fight our case?

Re: Medical waiver stage!

Hi
I was fortunate enough to get some advise before making an application, in the process of going through this now. We are using the services of an immigration lawyer (lane neave). Had numerous phone calls with various people all whom advised it is VERY difficult to get a medical waiver without professional assistance, and that its a one chance offer - if medical waiver refused then u dont get a second chance. Based on this info I thought it wsa better to get a professionals input and this guy came with strong recommendations. But ultimately i suppose its upto u guys
Hope this helps a little :D

I agree with Aliwales about needing a professional. And Lane Neave are superb, if they can't do it, no-one can. Highly recommended.

Thanks guys. It's so helpful when people offer advice, keeps the positive spirit alive. I have emailed lane neave so hopefully next week they will let me know if interested in helping us.
:fingerscrossed:
