Default Medical Records

I assume we don't need to do anything with our medical records here in the UK. They will just stay here (in the UK).
We will get new ones when in NZ?

We had a synopsis done by our last practice in the UK before we left, however we never gave them to our new practice here because there were so many mistakes in them. For example, it states that I have endometriosis - I don't! We had only been with this practice a year though, I think notes from our previous practice of 12 years would have been far more accurate.

Staffordshire Health Authority wouldn't let us take the notes. This I understand because they are a legal document afterall. I have heard of others being given theirs though , unless they were given copies.

It is useful to have a list of any serious health conditions, operations (with dates), any medications & allergies to give to your new GP in NZ.

Hope this helps.

If you have any significant medical history then you should bring them, otherwise its entirely up to you, of course they can't recreate your UK edical history...

Just spoke to my dentist a couple of days ago and no you cannot take your dental records with you but you are entitled to walk out with your Xray plates.
