Medical Insurance on 1 Year Work Permit
We are going to NZ on a 1 year work permit and therefore won't be entitled to any publicly-funded health care except in emergencies. Does anyone know of the best insurance to have - I don't think we can use travel insurance when we will be working there?
Is it best to get expat insurance from the UK? Southern Cross etc unfortunately won't cover anyone on a 1 year permit. Plus I know that you pay for GP visits but these are still subsidised so will we have to pay even more than everyone else for these visits? |
Re: Medical Insurance on 1 Year Work Permit
We sent our eldest to Australia and New Zealand for a year - got our insurance through the Mountaineers society (you can buy the magazines in most major book shops, WHSmiths) it was by far the cheapest and it covers a full year.
Hope this helps |
