Medical Forms - Mental health
Hi,
I understand that the panel doctors use the GAF to assess current state of mental health for applicants with a history of mental illness. Do you know what score is considered acceptable ? Also, are they less stringent about scores for accompanying partners who don't plan to work versus main applicants ? Is ongoing medication likely to be a deal breaker for them ? Thanks, B & L |

Re: Medical Forms - Mental health
It's treatment or medical care, not just medications, which will cost more than $25000 over 4 years for an acute condition or over the entire course of the illness for a chronic condition.
The issue is that it doesn't tell you how to calculate those costs. How much do drugs cost in NZ ? How much do GP visits cost the govt as I thought people paid for those themselves ? It states that the GAF is used to evaluate a person's mental health but doesn't say what score is required. |
