Medical and cancer in the family
I am about to see the doctor to get my medicals to apply for residency.
My dad was diagnosed with colon cancer last year and he is going through chemotherapy. I don't feel like talking about this. Indeed, I never talk about this. Its like...if I don't talk it's not happening...and writing it on a document feels like giving up on my dad expectations to live. I know...it sound really immature. Do I need to declare it if my dad is currently in good health? |
Re: Medical and cancer in the family
Hi Mel, As Far as I know, I had to declare illnesses in the family as they ask you the health of your immediate family, but it didn't go against me as I was in good health, so I think surely it would be the same all round, good luck.

Re: Medical and cancer in the family
Even though you have to say it, it won't mean you are referred or anything. It's not an inherited condition.
I am sorry to hear about your dad  Jan |
