"List of Recognised Qualifications"

Further to a previous thread (by Jakie) - regarding starting the immigration process. I am in a similar situation, just starting enquiring about NZ's immigration rules.

What happens if your qualification is not on the list of recognised qualifications? (I'm an architect with many years of UK work experience) Is there a way of getting it provisionally recognised for immigration purposes?

My understanding of the EOI rules is that if one has got enough points to be drawn - then one does not need a job offer to proceed on PR application?

Many thanks to any answers!

If you have enough points without a job offer then you can certainly submit an EOI. The higher the points the better with 140 being an automatic selelction fromt he EOI pool. 100 points is the minimum.

If the qualification and/or degree is not on the recognised list , then you need an NZQA assessment of your overseas qualification.
NZQA will give you an NZQA equivalent level for your qualification and you match that with the level required by NZIS.
