Length of job offer for PR

Hi again, deep breath, shout at me if you must, someone is bound to have asked this before and i missed it...When PR is offered because of a job offer, is there a standard length of time that a job should last for? As in ,if I applied for and got a fixed term teaching job in NZ , for say 3 terms, would that get me PR? (Combined with other points of course.)
Have any other teachers got permanent jobs from the UK or did you have to be out in NZ first?
Thank you for your indulgence :)

Hi.
I don't know about teaching contracts but for other work the job offer needs to be full-time and permanent. The offer should also state the full time hours, holiday leave entitlement and sick pay. In other words the terms and conditions.

They need to see that this is a permanent position. However it does not mean that you need to stay within that job once you have yr PR though sometimes they would put in a condition that you have to stay with this employer for 3 months from when you receive yr PR.
good luck
