At Last!! A visa .. but not the ones we hoped for yet...

Whey hey! After nearly a year of waiting we have been offered visas.. but alas temporary work/ student visas just to get us in and me working while our lawyer finishes wrangling with NZ immigration over my daughters medicals...

But a question .... having not really planned on a work or student visa can any one tell me the difference between temporary visas and PR residency visas with regards to things like access to health services, paying tax in NZ etc etc.. you know the "general stuff" ??? Feels nice to be actually going to NZ .. but a little like one limbo space to another :D

A bit of reassurance with regards to the above things and welfare for the kids in worst case scenarios would be fabulous tee hee!!

Eagerly anticipating your well composed responses!

Ali

Aren't these questions you should discuss with your lawyer?

What's your plan if you move to New Zealand and then the permanent visa is refused?
