Hi

I am planning to immigrate to Nz, I am getting 140 points overall.
but I am wondering how are the job prospects for IT (software profession) people?

do we have good prospects? I have no clue about Nz market for IT?

your responses will motivate or help me in decide to apply for Nz skilled worker category.

We were advised that looking for IT work the best places would be Auckland or Wellington. We went for Wellington. Husband was lucky enough to get a job offer on his second interview here. You would need to look on Seek or Trademe for jobs in your field and contact some agencies to see how likely it covers your area

I think the job market (in general) in Auckland is more promising. We've been in Wellington for 5 months and no luck :thumbdown:

Search accredited employers site for IT. IBM and Hewlett Packard usually recruit often

Actually, what is your profession in IT? I might be able to get you an interview with HP depending on experience etc. Think you need at least 4 years experience. What IT job do you do?

how are the prospects for SAP or SAP basis in Nz? what are the goos sites to search for IT, esp for SAP jobs

Have a look on Seek co nz more jobs in Auckland than Wellington listed with SAP requirements but worth looking at both areas

try contacting HR at Auckland transport and auckland council, they seem to be always looking for SAP people.
