It's been a long journey but :-)

today we got PR approved in principle.

8 months and lots of ups and downs (mostly downs) yet finally, in the end, it was approved.

Had a little cry when I saw the email :o:o but now going home to some wine.

OF COURSE :rofl::rofl::rofl:

we're here  got wtr in August - eventually

For you that don;t know, here's our list of problems:

1) no joint bills - two houses when we met, never transferred anything as emigrating was quite sudden
2) Neil's BMI a bit over, his liver test a bit over
3) I have ulcerative colitis (I never mentioned that on here before)
4) many many hundreds of pounds later on medicals, the MA decided my (potentially fatal in undeveloped countries) condition was OK but Neil was too big
5) refused WTR, then lawyers stepped in, Neil got visa 6 days before flight
6) moved paperwork to ChCh after arriving in NZ on wtr
7) had to provide even more relationship evidence
8) needed a character waiver fora childhood misdemeanour (sp?) 25 years ago

Then suddenly someone decided Neil was not too big and it was suddenly plain sailing.

A lovely Xmas present for us :thumbsup:

AB fab, you both deserve it after the fight you have put up, as I have said before you have both been an inspiration to us when we were at a low with our application and we thank you once again. Love and hugs, see ya on other side very soon,

Tina. x x

CONGRATS!
:drinkwine:

That must be such a relief! I am thinking we will get WTR as we dont have job offers (thats is we get our meds signed off !!!) so will probs have the same route as you guys.

Just shows how it can pay off - hope you have settled well and are enjoying your new life

Congratulations - it gives me encouragement (as I am pretty certain that I will be referred to an MA eventually) and hope to grit my teeth and battle on like you both have done. Well deserved - and its summer in New Zealand - what more can you ask for. Good luck to you both.
