ITA Submitted!!Any further docs

Hi All,
Submitted our ITA on Wed (wish me luck:thumbup::fingerscrossed:) and have received a letter saying They will allocate a CO within the next 4 months. That is quite long time to wait:sneaky:.

A few questions:
1. Anyone who was allocated a CO less than 4 months? We were told by people that they normally allocate CO within 2 months!!

2. If we would like to provide more information, such as a specialist report during this waiting period, who can we sent them to? Should we just go to New Zealand House in london and hand in the additional docs there to one of the staff member or should we have to post to someone? We have got our applicaiton no.

Or should we wait until such time when a CO is allocated and when she/he asks for further information. What is the best way and not to lose any time?

Thanks a lot

This is the latest info on the NZIS website re: processing times for skilled migrant visas:

'Once the pre-populated application form is returned to the London branch it should be allocated to a visa officer within four months. As an example, for the week ending 15 May 2009 we are allocating applications submitted up to and including 17 February 2009'.

This is for applications without a job offer. Looks like 3 months ish at the moment. We lodged our ITA in April and are awaiting a case officer too.

Hi
The amount of time it takes depends on how busy they are at the time so it could take 4m or it could be a lot quicker. There is no way of knowing so patience is a virtue when it comes to dealing with NZIS:sneaky:
For instance I applied without a job offer and it took me 5.5m to go from selection to receiving an ITA:frown:. Once they received my ITA I had an interview and was granted PR within 3 weeks:thumbup:. No logic there...

If you need to send in further info you could wait until you have a CO as you will have a name to address it to then. I would worry that it would get waylaid in NZ House otherwise but maybe that's me just being overly cautious:unsure:. If your CO needed further info then they would request it anyway.

Hi,
Please see our time line below. That was without a job offer so about 13 weeks from submitting to getting PR.
I think you can send extra info to NZ house just make sure everything has your application number and name on it otherwise it may go astray!
Good luck x
