Congratulations, we have just gone through the process and come out the other end successfully! If I can give you any advice is make sure you give them exactly what they ask for , ie full birth certificates, not the shortened ones and then you should sail through.

Also, find yourself a good photocopier as they want copies as well as originals of everything.

Good luck both of you. Hope you enjoy paperwork and collating it all Have you got medicals and police checks organised yet? Remember medicals are only valid for 3 months so if you have other things to organise then these may be best left until the last. You never know how long other stuff will take to come together. Any questions you know where to ask

Thanks Caroline
Yes my OH has job in New Plymouth so we will probably be staying there depending on schools and areas for rental. How far away from NP will you be?

Have you looked into renting your house yet as just now we are selling but only one viewer in three weeks. Realistically my OH employers would like him to start in the new year so we will have to rent it out.

Good luck in the paperwork gathering. I have started but am already short of a couple of full birth certificates and was in near panic when I could not find my degree certificate.

hi julie,

not yet we have spoke to the agency we are going to use and they reckon our house will go no probs so fingers crossed, we thought about selling ours but then we figured we should hold on to it for a few years and hopefully make some money on it then ... we have i think all paperwork there apart from medicals and police reports , just have to get them all copied and certified but luckily a friend can do that for us oh andd still have to go get our passport pics taken ... Hawera is about an hour south of NP .. what is it your OH does, mine is an electrician

Hi Caroline
My OH is an electrical engineer. He is due to start in Jan but his employers are keen to get him earlier.
We have not spoken to any agency yet but will prob end Nov if no offer comes our way. Spoke to our estate agent today and his words of wisdom was have patience!!!!!!!.
We got our ITA pack today and looks pretty straightforward although they ask for all our family to be added ie mum/dad/sister etc which we did not do through the EOI so don't know if this is mandatory or not.

I must admit having the pack has now made me a bit nervous and excited as it is starting to feel real.

Good luck to everyone with their ITA's!

I found getting all the info, dox, medicals together etc far more enjoyable than waiting around, with nothing to do, for a decision to be made!

The old login button on the NZIS website will be well worn out by the time you finish!
