Default IRD Number from AA Shops

I just read this today, applications for IRD Numbers can now be made at any AA Shop. Might be useful for new arrivals to know, as most high streets seem to have an AA place.

Hi

That info is a little bit incorrect. You can go to any Post Office, Ird office or AA. Each has a verifier nominaed to each office to verify your documents.

You need to complete an IR595 form and have two forms of photo ID with you. If you have children you need their Birth Certs and you will need to provide proof that you are the parent or guardian of this child.

So your birth cert and passport or driving licence should do the trick.

Hope this helps a little bit more
