Immigration

How do guys?
My family and I (me, the 'mrs' and two boys (8yrs and 5month)) are certain a move to New Zealand is the way forward and we are just starting to get the ball rolling by getting as much information together as we can. Therefore I'm sure you will be sick of us asking for help by the time we get there :p.
First question is....
How would bankruptcy affect our move?
We aim to apply for a temporary working visa for myself while our residency visa applications are processed. Me and my partner are not married and the chances are we won't be by the time we arrive in NZ. We have no financial commitments together and it will be her that could potentially (albeit very unlikely) be filing for bankruptcy. Would this delay any applications??

Re: Immigration

The NZ immigration website should be your point of reference for accurate information.

http://www.immigration.govt.nz/

Bit a quick search for bankrupt only revealed restrictions on Kiwi companies and individuals from sponsoring people for work permits etc

So, as far as I can work out, your partners situation will have no bearing on any immigration application.

Re: Immigration

Ive only ever come across bankruptcy being referred to in the Long Term Business Visa pages.

Re: Immigration

Cheers guys.
As mentioned it is highly unlikely but we are just trying to explore all our options.
Thanks again
