I am a registered nurse in the US. My daughter has cystic fibrosis and I am aware that it is considered an unacceptable health condition. Would I be likely to get a medical waiver for her if my job is on the skilled worker shortage list?

Nothing is written in stone , however, I would strongly think the answer would be a resounding no.

What NZIS wold look at over and above your occupation is what the condition of cystic fibrosis could cost NZ.
The conditions listed as unacceptable have already been deemed as being too expensive for NZ short term or long term.

You could maybe talk this over with a reputable migrant consultant that specialises in the health policy. Please look at the NZAMI site for a list of registered consultants. You could also email/phone NZIS to ask them.
