I think Immigration's letter machine is bust...
I've recieved confirmation today that my EOI has been selected (yay) and that it's being sent to, and I quote, Christchurch-Auckland Centra, for processing.
Now I am assuming as per title thread that their letter machine is bust. I am also assuming that as I am in the South Island it will have gone to the Chch office. I ask only because the idea of being processed in Auckland is making me fear I may be 80 before it's done. Am I right or is there something I don't know? |

I would assume you are right, and it will be dealt with by Chch.
However, mine was at Chch for a while as I live in Timaru, but was sent up to Henderson and completed very quickly. I think they had a backlog at Chch due to the rebuild visas. This was at the end of last year :) |

Yes, when I was issued my permanent residency visa, it congratulated me and my wife.
Considering I was a single applicant (and a heterosexual female, but they didn't know that) I wrote back asking for them to correct their error. They reissued their grant letter with the correct pronouns, so yeah could be a copypasta mistake. |
