First off, steer clear of agents who will charge you money for what is easily retrieved public information.

Expression of Interest (EOI) (online) - NZ$400

Residence skilled migrant scheme - GBP 685

Migrant Levy - NZ$300 per person up to a maximum of NZ$1200

There are other costs such as NZQA assessments, police clearances and medical reports.

Short form, it ain't gonna be cheap. Why pay extra to an agent?

I know it sounds crazy paying that much money extra by hubby is really worried about not getting it right. I think I have managed to convinced him to just do it ourselves, I guess the main problem is that we don't have that much money saved so we liked the idea of getting interviews/ possibly a jobe before getting there...
Thanks again for your help really appreciated
