How long do I have to work my first job?
Hey guys looking at visas and hoping to obtain a job offer and gain a skilled migrant visa....the question is if that is granted how long would you be required to work for that employer ?

If it's in the Auckland city council zone you must remain in that job AND be paid at the minimum required level for that job for at least 3 months.
If outside Auckland you have must remain in that job AND be paid at the minimum required level for that job for at least 12 months.
There will be a condition placed on your visa regarding work (depending on where the job offer is based as Immigration will obviously know as it'll be on your application and they will have gone through checks with your employer) and you can only apply to have the condition removed once you've fulfilled the condition by providing the evidence. You must apply to have the condition removed before 5 years is up.
