How long?

I heard somewhere, cant remember where now that once you have an ITA you have 4 months to submit it. Then once you have your visa you have a year to get over and live in NZ?

If so you can get everything sorted but you haven't got to move straight away. Does that sound about right?

Hi
Yes you have 4months to return your ITA once you receive it.

If you are granted PR you have 6months to send your passport and migrant levy payment in and a year after that to enter NZ to activate your residency visa. So you have almost 18m to enter NZ from when your PR is approved in principle. If it was really necessary and you needed more time, you could activate your visas and then leave NZ. You would then have another 2years in which to return to NZ. You are issued with a 2year RRv at the same time as the residency visa and this starts from when the residency visa is activated.
If you are granted WTR then you have 3m to send in your passports and then another 3m to enter NZ. So only 6m to get over here. You then have 9m from entering NZ to find a suitable job.
Hope this makes sense
