Help with WHV extension (UK citizen)
Hi there,
I am looking for some advice as regards to extending my working holiday visa. I am a UK citizen so I know that I can extend it up to 23 months. This is where it gets tricky though... I have been here since 9 April 2009 on a WHV. I applied for a proper work permit 2 months ago (1 April 2010), unfortunately it just got declined. I have now been put on a 1 month visitors permit until the end of this month. I was wondering if even though my WHV expired almost 2 months ago, would I still be able to apply for the extension? I only plan to stay in NZ for another 4 months. Would this be possible? Also any ideas on the time frame it would take for the decision?
Many thanks!

I don't know but it sounds like you don't have a WHV to extend.
You only have a visitor visa. i don't fancy your chances I'm afraid.

I donĀ“t think so, once it has expired you no longer have it to extend, I suspect as they have declined your work permit for whatever reason that would probably stop you getting the WHV extended too???
