Don't think you'll get knocked back, you may just need a job offer where as if you have advanced you can as far as know apply without a job offer.
I had my advanced C and G Carpentry and Joinery assessed in December approved in January,EOI applied 12 March without a job offer, picked out 13 March and have just received our ITA.
Hope this helps.

It may be that you will not be given the points for the skill because it does not meet with the criteria required to make a level 4 of the register.
A job offer in the trade will give you points for the job offer.

Hi Bev,
I rang City & Guilds (waste of time)
I rang up our local college (we have a apprentice at work that goes there) spoke to a teacher and he said Bryan's qualifications was equivalent to an NVQ level 3 (keeping our fingers crossed). We are going to send his quals off to be converted in NQ Quals next week.
Will let you know the outcome, when we get them back.
Keep your fingers crossed.
Regards
Karen

Redmonsk has the NZIS points for basic trade quals at 50 points = level 3.
I would expect that NZIS will recognise your quals to a level 3 as they did for Redmonsk.

Received back assessment from NZQA only taken 4 months.
Bryan got a Level 4 for his Joinery/Carpentry & Level 4 for his Cad.
Over the moon, because it has taken so long, we have had to get our date for returning our ITA extended.
