Default Health waiver for a partner on husbands work visa

What are my chances? I have Arthritis which is usually a no no my husband has been offered a very good job, in a very specialised sector. He has family in NZ (his sister, uncle and cousin)

The amount he will be paying in taxes should more than offset any of my medical costs, in addition we should be able to afford my healthcare anyway.

I'm currently in remission and have had any surgeries I need so won't need anymore for 25+ years time (hopefully) the medication I'm on isn't even available in NZ so I'm planning on controlling my symptoms through diet and sunshine.

We think he will just get a temp work visa for three years initially, then apply for residency further down the track.

Our medicals are tomorrow, I have a letter from my consultant and am also trying to get support from my surgeon.

So does anyone have any experiences of health waivers for the spouse of the primary applicant on a 3 year work visa?

Thanks for reading.

the amount of tax he pays has nothing to do with health care, you will have to pay for appointments with Dr's and for medicine.
I'm not sure about a waiver for you but I personally would look at what alternative medicine NZ has and cost for your condition just in case the diet and sunshine does not help.
