HEADACHE FROM STUDY LINK!!!

Hello,
'm shocked to see this information from study link
What are the changes?
To be eligible for a Student Allowance or Student Loan for study that starts on or after 1 January 2014, students who are not NZ citizens, refugees or protected persons must:

be ordinarily resident in New Zealand; and
have resided in New Zealand for three years; and
have held the right to reside in New Zealand indefinitely for three years.
This stand-down period was previously two years.

Here is my Case!!!
am living with my step father who is a Kiwi, and am not sure if the changes above have concerns with me at all!! am i right?
please anyone with advise
regards:)

Yes, it is all dependent on what visa you are on, as to whether you are eligible for study link. It could also make a difference regarding your fees too, if you are not a permanent resident.

Same in the UK. You have to have been resident for 3 years to receive any assistance. Makes sense no?
