Have our hopes been dashed??
 

Well after waiting for what has seemed an eternity, my husband received a phone call from the doctor to let us know there was a problem with his bloodtests:(.

He has a low white cell count and a problem with his liver function can't remember all the details, been in a daze since then. We are going up tomorrow for more info although Doc said it could be a viral infection (I hope so).

Has anybody else had this?? Just to try and offer him some words of comfort - don't think were going to get much sleep tonight:(:(

Can't offer any advice I'm afraid but wanted to send you some positive energy, I can imagine how you feel :(

White cells are the ones that help us fight infections, so like the doctor said it could be that his body has been fighting a few recently and hence his cell count would be low.... has he had a cold or similar? I have heard that taking echinacea tablets helps the immune system, perhaps by giving it a little boost his cell count would soon return to normal, ask the doctor about it, although some professionals are not advocates of herbal and alternative medicines...
