Not a problem Tina, glad to help,

Soccer (not the correct word; but football here refers to rugby union and rugby refers to rugby league)........is big in some parts of the country and many places have quite a few teams and "littley" leagues at the weekends.

Hi

My son plays in 5 aside football in the Papamoa/Tauranga area and I emailed him to see if they need any extra players and at the moment they are ok but he did suggest that you could contact the Mount Action Centre to see if any teams need any new players. In saying that the football season doesn't start till the end of February so it may be better to wait until then (5 aside).

Otherwise he says that people just turn up and see if they can get a game on the night if some of the teams are short of a player - then play to impress and your in!! In all the 5 aside teams there must be 1 girl playing - and if the girl is not able to play they just drag any poor girl out of the crowd that is watching and say "stand there".
