Fees during submitting ITA

I am just curious to know, do we have to pay migrant levy fees while submitting ITA or we need to pay if application for a resident visa is successful?

I am from India, so most probably we have to pay USD 1,970?
Can we pay in NZD and what are the option available to pay the fees?
I am not sure we can pay through credit card or through the bank transfer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You only need to pay the fees of your ITA application for now as stated on your ITA letter. You will need to pay for migrant levy when your residence application is finalised, and you will be requested by NZIS to pay for that.
You need to check with your NZIS branch about the method of payment, ours was paid by credit card.

Good luck

Re: Fees during submitting ITA

as Sam says you only pay if you get approval. we just paid at submission as it was easier for us and we were informed that it would be refunded if we was not successful

Thanks MrsFychan and Sam for your input.
Does that mean i have to pay only $1,970 if my application for residential visa is successful. Otherwise i dont have to pay that fee right?
Just FYI, i haven't' received my ITA yet but this is just for my information.
I have gone through the below link and its quite confusing.:confused:

No you must pay the US$1970 fee with your residency application (after ITA received) regardless of whether it is approved or not. There is also another additional fee of 220 cny - from your link choose India India Residency visa - Skilled Migrant Category.
If you get approved the migrant levy fee comes at the end and is paid when you send in the passports.

Beijing office doesn't mention payment can be made by cc.
Either cash when submitting application in person or bank transfer if submitting via courier.
