Expiry date on Resident Visa

Hey, I just got my Resident visa approved and the date of expiry says indefinite. However it also says expiry date travel March 21 2018.

Can someone help explain what the situation is and how it works with the expiry date?

Thanks!

Re: Expiry date on Resident Visa

it means that visa is indefinite but you have travel conditions on it. so for the first 2 years you have to spend a certain amount of time in NZ to be able to apply for a visa without the travel conditions. If you do not apply after the 2 years for the travel conditions to be removed it means you can still stay in NZ but you would not have right of entry if you leave.

See this Next steps for residents you have to meet the requirements for a PR visa first. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...quirements.htm and follow the logical links to application fees http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...or.htm?level=1 all the info you ever need is on the NZ immigration site. Cost is variable based on your answers to the fees calculator.
