EWRB help

Hi All,

Ive been looking at some jobs as a Printer service Technician, but have come across a requirement for an "Electrical Service Persons Practicing License".

You can imaging how Im feeling at the moment finding this out.

Although this is not a requirement in the UK, no doubt someone will insist on it in the future... Is it possible to gain this License in NZ?

Would you need to be a apprenticed Electrician? Missed out in getting an due to "Thatcher"...........

I did a City & Guilds 1st year Electrical Installation years ago, but concentrated on Electronics, went back to Electrical side when did BTEC National Certificate then to Electronics for BTEC HND.

Best part is EWRB was not a requirement when applying as an "Electronic Service Technician" for the points under SMC.

Knowing my luck, guess the answer to all of this is a Printer Technician is classed as "Electrical" same as White Goods, so registration is needed, therefore my 15years experience wont help without this piece of paper....

any guidance greatly welcomed.

Ian.
