ESOL Question

Hi All,
I am so glad that i found this forum. I recently received ITA letter and about to prepare all the documents.

It is mentioned in the guideline that we have to pay for the ESOL tuition fee before an application for residence can be granted. But when we need to pay the tuition fee? Should we pay for the fee when we submit our ITA? I am not sure about the process.

Any idea
Thanks

Re: ESOL Question

As you are pre-purchasing ESOL tuition you will be sent an agreement to sgin by NZIS. Once you have completed and signed the agreement , you send in that with the fee.

So, if the agreement has come with your ITA, then you pay the fee when you send back your agreement and the ITA.

If the agreement has not come with the ITA pack , then you wait for the ESOL agreement to come from NZIS . Once you have that, sign it and send it with the fee

hope that helps.

PRE-PURCHASING ESOL TUITION
How do I pre-purchase ESOL tuition?

If your application is approved we will advise you the
amount of ESOL tuition you will need to purchase. The
NZIS collects ESOL tuition fees on behalf of the Tertiary
Education Commission (TEC), which is the government
agency responsible for purchasing English language tuition
for new migrants. The charge includes NZIS and TEC
administration costs.

We will send you two copies of the Agreement and Schedule
to complete for each person undertaking ESOL tuition.

The Agreement explains the conditions for your tuition
and TEC’s responsibilities. The Schedule gives information
about TEC and the organisation that will provide your
English language tuition.

Complete an Agreement and Schedule for each person who will undertake ESOL tuition and return one copy with the tuition fee(s) to the NZIS
office processing your application.
You can keep the other
copy for your records. Further copies of the Agreement
and Schedule are available from NZIS, if required.
