EOI Worries

Hi, so I submitted my EOI last week and now I'm starting to think I've just wasted £220 on nothing.
We have 125 points. No experience in Absolute Shortage Area and no job offer.
We both have degrees and jobs in future growth areas but I think that won't be enough.
Looking at the history over the past year it seems no one has been selected without at least some experience in an area of Absolute Shortage.

I really hope I'm wrong, because I think getting a job offer is going to prove very difficult without a work visa.

I know you've probably been asked this question a hundred times, but do you think we stand a chance?

I'm thinking not, unless I get a job offer. :(

It's tough but that's my reality to and I think it's a case of lesson learnt. Although I thought my quals would not lose me points and I'm still trying to evident it, it still might to be case. Our way in would only be with a job offer now, but due to our circumstances I think our EOI will expire and we will have to undertake a new one when we are in a position to try for jobs.
You've answered you own question though - based on selection history. Times are tough and every country understandably has to protect their own workforce first (apparently!)
