no more than 3 months old at the time you submit your ITA I think but stand to be corrected.....

police clearance must be no more than 6 months old at the time you submit your ITA......

also as far as I am aware, applicants without a job offer are interviewed,
either by telephone or in person...Biddy knows about telephone interviews
and there is a thread about them on this forum too

hope this helps

(medicals are really expensive aren't they!! ?50 for an xray and I bet you're in and out in 5 minutes!!) :D

Thanks for that. Have sent off my ITA and have booked medicals/x-rays. Should all fit in the timeframe. But am now panicking- how easy will it be to get permanent residency without a job offer. We need permanent residency before we go for daughter's university and my husband's work. They won't send application forms until we are permanent residents!! We got 125 points and I have a job on the skilled shortages list but we haven't got a job yet because we want to go in Spring 06 and its too early for me to get a job. After all the hard work I am beginning to worry that they won't give us a PR visa without a job to go to. Should I worry???

Blimey...where did you dig this thread up from Billie!!! :D

You can still get PR even without a job offer if you can demonstrate your ability to settle and look for work..start making notes now ready for your interview...there is a post that I did on here not so long about on the sort of things you should be looking at...I'll try and dig it out for you...:D

Edited to say:- Here's the link to the sort of stuff they will ask you at interview Billie...good luck... http://britishexpats.com/forum/showp...1&postcount=73
