EOI selection probability

I assessed myself and getting 120 points without NZ job offer, do you think that it is likely less probable to be drawn my application within EOI process.

What is the probability to get successful EOI for an applicant without any job offer from NZ ? Please share yours thoughts i will not consider it granted.

Re: EOI selection probability

The last time that EOI's were selected with 110 points and over without a job offer and without work experience or qualification in an area of absolute skills shortage was December 2009. So unless you have experience in an area of absolute skills shortage, ie an occupation on the "Long Term Skills Shortage List" (LTSSL) it is unlikely that you will be selected soon. Check the New Zealand Immigration website. This doesn't mean that the existing trend will continue, if you submit an EOI it will sit in the pool for 6 months. I think that it is worth having a go as it doesn't cost that much to submit an EOI. In the meantime, you could start looking for a job although it won't be easy.

Re: EOI selection probability

I need to do some analysis to check how much people NZ directly issue residence visa and how much percent people they issue only work to residence visa. Because if they initially issue work to residence visa that will be for only 9 months and I will be required to have skilled employment within these 9 Months. Now I also need to focus on these points.

1. What they called Skilled Employment (Should it must be in our relevant field or it could be any odd job ?)
2. What is ratio of issuance of Residence visa and Work to residence visa (How much % people got RV / W To RV)?
3. What will happen if (God Forbid ) anyone could not able to get any specific or their required job with in these 9 months. (Either they will extend the period or will Kick Out)?

I appreciate yours valuable thoughts.
