EOI panic

When considering your EOI do they contact your employer to verify your details?

Mine doesn't know I'm applying yet, I'd hate for him to find out through a phone call from the Embassy

We had the same worry when we applied but they never contacted our employers so you're safe!

hi

no i don't think they do this however, if you are claiming work experience for your current job you will have to get a letter from your employer when you send in your ITA to prove the job you're doing etc etc. so you may have to tell them at some point. but you're safe for now!

Hi,

No they wont contact your employer at the EOI stage. We are in the same postion as you and have not told our employers. As evidence on our ITA we sent our contracts / offer letter and payslips as evidence which will hopefully be sufficient. If not we will have to tell our employers but we dont want to unless we know that we have been sucessful!

that's quite handy to know - I haven't wanted our plans to be too public just in case it doesn't all pan out.
