EOI Acknowledgment
 

Hello. I am a newbie here in NZ immi thread. I am waiting (for over 21 months) now for my Australian visa but I decided to apply to NZ in case Oz takes more years to grant.

My agent has filed the EOI and waiting for the acknowledgment. May I know how long does NZ immi acknowledges the EOI and what happens thereafter? or at least what to expect in the next months or so?

When your EOI is submitted it goes into a 'pool', then every fortnight the NZIS pick out so many dependent on -having a job offer- 140 points you will definately be picked- and so on. Not sure if there was a draw today, so if yours was in it may have already been picked. When you are picked you will be 'selected' then checks are done to confirm the information that was in your EOI and you may be asked to apply'
your agent should be able to give you a PASSWORD so you can log into the NZIS www.immigration.govt.nz. and you will be able to see what your status is.
Do a search on here for ITA and that will give you an idea of what happens when your EOI becomes 'successful'
