EOI 30-Oct-2013: 135 Points without job offer.

Hi All,
I had submitted my EOI(135 points without job offer) 2 months back. There are 115 EOIs were selected on 30th October 2013 that had a points total of 135 or more. I haven't received any email or the status still shows "submitted" for my EOI application. I have few clarification needs to be cleared:
1.Generally, what would be the process for notification?
2.How do i confirm my EOI also got selected in that 115 EOIs?

Since i am gonna complete 6 years of IT experience on 12th November 2013, I have planned to update my EOI to increase EOI points to 145 after 12th November 2013. But the last EOIs selection have brought me a lot of questions which should be clarified before that.

3. If I haven't get ITA email and status not changed from "Submitted" till 12th November 2013, can i go ahead and update my EOI for 145 points?
4. If i get ITA email for 30th EOI selection after update, will my additional 10 points considered during PR process?

Kindly please provide your clarification for the above question. Thanks in advance.

From what you've written then you would not have been selected on that date.
You say that you will have 6 years of work experience in November, you could only have claimed for 2-5 years work experience in an area of absolute skills shortage on that selection date.

My status changed to 'selected' within 12 hours of the draw so you'll know very quickly.
You can change any details on your EOI whilst it is still submitted. 145 would mean an automatic selection at the next draw. Once selected you cannot change anything, you have to contact INZ directly though it's only really necessary if you get a job offer.

As for the answer to number 4: it looks like you were not selected so update your EOI and you should be ok. Hypothetically, once an EOI is selected then being able to claim for extra points is irrelevant as long as you can prove you are entitled to the points total you were selected on. Your points total would go up but you've been selected anyway. It may make a difference if you get a job offer as informing INZ of that should speed up the process :)

Hi Persephone,
Thanks for your clarifications. Did you submitted your EOI with 135 points and it got selected on 30-OCT-2013 selection cycle?

Selection under 140 is unlikely these days, as others have said.

Look for a job. Be prepared to come here for interviews too.
