Dual citizen - 2 WHV's?
 

Hi
Just a quick question... As a dual Canadian/Maltese passport holder, can I get 2 WHV's (one for each passport) and effectively be allowed to stay in NZ 2 years? I know its allowed with the Canadian one, not sure if NZ is similar.

No.
Part of the eligibility for WHV is "NOT have been approved a visa under a Working Holiday Scheme before".

Officially, no, as escapedtonz points out, this is not allowed.

I don't know about New Zealand specifically but plenty of applicants with dual British/Irish citizenship by virtue of their birth in Northern Ireland apply for the Australian WHV scheme twice, once on their British passports and again on their Irish passports, and it goes through no questions asked. I suspect a lot of it is down to the fact that they will often have their Irish passports issued with the Gaelic spelling of their name and beat the system that way.

Yep I know a few Irish lads who pulled off this trick in Aus successfully but not sure about it here.
