Dependant children

I was wondering if anyone could help me.I have a 20 yr old boy, trained carpenter, working here in England. we are hopefully about to put in our eoi but are wondering what to do with him!! We have plans to get him out there on a working holiday visa first, but I was wondering what the criteria are to take him along on our potential visa application? if this is the better option?

Re: Dependant children

Hi,

I have email immigration NZ with a similar question. My son is 20 also but he cannot find any employment not through not trying.

My question was as he is financially dependant on me, can he be on the family visa.

Ans: Yes with proof.

If he was not financially dependent then he would have to be on his own visa. Working holiday/student.

Below is a link they sent me.

Thank you for taking advantage of our Online Help facility.

Dependant children up to the age of 24 can be included in the parents residency application. If the child is between the ages of 17 and 24, we will need to see proof of their financial dependency on another adult. For further information on this, please refer to policy F5.1 in our policy manual: http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...rationsManual/

Hope this helps,
