Decision Successful!!

Just an update,my EOI was selected last Wednesday 7th May backed up with a faxed job offer form the University of Otago in Dunedin.Got email from NZIS London saying I will have ITA tomorrow Friday 16th May.Checked website tonight and my status says Decision Successful. So EOI to ITA = 9 days!!Booked meds today Newcastle can do them next week.So hoping to be in NZ sooner than we thought all going well with meds stc.

I did have one question about the ITA.What kind of work experience proof do you need to provide?

We supplied pay slips, P45, to show we worked for the company. Also obtained written reference from previous employers, preferably on company headed paper. Congratulations that was a quick application, good luck with the meds.

Nice one!

Got my ITA two days ago. Just waiting for the Police checks which have only just arrived in the UK for processing though

Thinking of giving them a call to see if I can pay extra to fast track it now!

That was quick, but the way our UNI is expanding its not uncommon, i know other staff at UNI from UK who came out within 8 weeks from start.

So you are off to Dunners ay ?Awesome UNI and Polytec, best in the southern hemisphere, about 25k students , who are back in town now and its very busy down that end of the town, thats why we tell people to be very careful buying property down that end, who wants to live next door to a house of students.

What job are you doing at UNI ?

We have been in Dunedin 3 years this May 20th, you will be lucky if you are going to buy here, because property prices and the economy are taking a dive, so house prices will be even cheaper if the exchange rate is good as well.

Let me knopw if you want any info on Dunedin, or would like a lift from the airport when you arrive, i do that for new arrivals if they need it.

Good luck with the rest of the process.

Nige and family Dunners since may 05

Hi Nige thanks for the informartive reply, especially on the housing front.I assume you work at the Univrsity of Otago also. What do you do?I will be working as Senior Desktop Support Specialist with Emerson Pratt and Fraser Foster.
They are providing me with initially 2 weeks free accomodation and a "brief tour" around Dunedin so I assume they will probably pick us up from the airport.I will have to find this out though.Very kind offer of an airport pick up so thanks for that I will let you know whats happening. Thanks again and feel free to pm me.
Maybe tell me some good places/areas to rent.
regards johnnz
