Hi!
We are about to submit our ITA, and I wondered; they ask you to fill in all details of family members. Do they mean if they are in NZ? Or if they are in the UK do you fill it in anyway. And why? I'm sure this is so obvious!

Hi Deb - it's never a daft question if you don't know the answer!
They ask for your family details (doesn't matter where in the world they live) in case any of them ever want to claim you as a family member should they apply to emigrate in the future. It's also to see where the balance of your family is, again for the same reason.

Has anyone ever been turned down because they have too many brothers and sisters??? OH has 1 real brother, 2 half brothers and 5 step brothers, I have 1 real sister and 2 step sisters. Oh, but my dad and stepmum are now divorced so are they still my step sisters, and OH's dad is dead and his stepmum is remarried so are they still his step brothers????? Heck now I've opened a can of worms :o

I only put down the ones I wouldn't mind tooooooo much if they moved over and the ones I knew wouldn't want to in a trillion years! :thumbsup:

Nah, the truth is we weren't sure what all that was about, we assumed you only had to include people who would be coming with you, so now they might think we're both orphans :unsure: :blink:
