Confused between absolute skills shortage, future growth and immediate skills

Hubby has a qualification which appears on the immediate skills shortage list - on the points system you can gain points for qualifications in future growth areas or absolute skills shortage - does immediate skills shortage fall under either of those categories??

You can only claim bonus pts for a qualification (or work exp) in an area of absolute skills shortage if that occupation is on the LTSSL only.

The ISSL is for temporary work visas only so your husband cannot claim extra points on the EOI.

You can only claim pts for work exp or a qualification in a future growth area if you already have a job offer in place.

Industries in identified future growth areas offer New Zealand considerable opportunity to increase its prosperity. Currently we recognise three broad areas: biotechnology, information communications technology, and creative industries.

You can qualify for points if you can prove your employment in New Zealand is in one of these areas.
