Conflicting advice about Registration requirement before EOI?

Happy Easter weekend everyone!

Sorry for posting so many questions over the weekend, finally some time off to sort the EOI out.

I am a doctor with a job offer this August, and is halfway sorting my Medical Council NZ registration. It takes 20 working days for them to confirm!

I am very keen to get on with the EOI so by the time MCNZ confirms the registration, I will have been selected, a case worker assigned, and submit all the documents immediately.

According to Immigration NZ's Knowledge Base, "If you want to claim points for a qualification and/or skilled employment (or offer of skilled employment) which require NZ Occupational Registration, you must obtain either full or provisional (probationary) registration before you submit your EOI.

Otherwise, you may not be able to claim those points, which may affect your eligibility to enter the Pool, or your chances of being selected."

On the other hand, according to NZ Immigration London Branch (http://www.immigration.govt.nz/NR/rd...ofInterest.doc), "If you are in this position you will need, either; confirmation in writing that you would be eligible for at least provisional registration when you get to New Zealand from the relevant registration board, or, a recognised qualification in your area of expertise."

I do have the recognised qualification... Can I therefore apply now for EOI?

If yes, what did you put into the Question regarding the Reference Number in the EOI Online Form?
