Civil Engineer. Christchurch. Tips on how to emigrate please.

Hi There - My husband and I are just starting to look for jobs out in NZ specifically Christchurch as my Husband is a Civil Engineer. Do any of you have top tips in applying to emigrate to NZ? All advice gratefully received!

hopefully this link works

http://www.immigration.govt.nz/templ...=Guest&level=1

if he can see his job on this list and has all the relavent criteria they are asking for he can apply for an EOI (expression of Interest) which could lead to a ITA (Invitation to Apply) for visa

Have a look and if his job is there go to the point indicator
https://www.immigration.govt.nz/pointsindicator/

fill that out and see what points you get. anything over 100 you can apply for EOI but realistically to get ITA you need over 140, or you need to be near the 140 with a job offer

Have a look at Fletcher Construction. If you live close to London I believe they're coming over in July to carry out interviews.
