New amendments 08/05/2019
Please find attached Amendment Circular 2019-03, containing the following changes to immigration instructions effective 27 May 2019:
· Establishment of the Regional Skill Shortage List (RSSL) as a replacement for the Immediate Skill Shortage List (ISSL)
· Expansion of the 6-region model to a 15-region model in the RSSL and Construction and Infrastructure Skill Shortage List (CISSL)
· Updates to the Long-Term Skill Shortages List, the RSSL and the CISSL

Between now and 2021, we are making changes to the way employers recruit some migrants for temporary work in New Zealand. The changes will be introduced in stages and fully rolled out in 2021.

Amendment Circular 2019-07 contains the following changes to immigration instructions, effective on and after 7 October 2019:
- The salary threshold required for Talent (Accredited Employers) work visa applications has increased to $79,560 per annum.
- The ability to grant a permanent resident visa in place of a resident visa to Talent (Accredited Employers) work visa holders has been removed.
- The duration of accreditation that can be granted to employers under the Talent (Accredited Employers) instructions has been limited to 24 months.
- Silver Fern Job Search instructions have been removed due to the closure of the category.

Amendment Circular 2019-09 confirms the immigration instructions within F4 Parent Category have been revoked, effective from 7 October 2019.
