Default Changes in health after ITA?

Hi

Just getting an idea in advance really. ITA submitted 4 weeks ago and I am soon to have a job offer to speed things up.

My husband has been asked to monitor his blood pressure at home as it is very high when he goes to the Drs (white coat syndrome I reckon but the GP thinks it may need furthur investigation and treatment under BUPA)

Do I have to let my case officer know about this now? or wait to see if there is anything wrong?

If there is a problem and the visa has been issued, what then?

I get worried after reading other peoples health problems on here and the strict NZ policy on health.

Anyone been in this situation, any advice would be greatly received

Thanks

How were the medicals that you submitted with the ITA. Did they outline concerns about your husband's blood pressure?

Hi

Medicals passed with flying colours although BP was slightly raised but still within limits - its only recently it has become a problem.

Don't want to ruin chances of PR, but want his health to come first.

Thanks

If it is just the BP, then keep it under your hat for now until you know the actual reason for the raised BP. Once you know , then you should really inform NZIS. If you were to try and gain PR without having declared a health issue and a problem arises, then the PR can be revoked.

If you actually know the reason for the raised BP & I feel you do, then I would council you to look after your husbands health first and let the matter of emigration drop for now.

Sometimes it is just that a BP will raise dramatically over a stressful situation. However it can also be that a BP will raise dramatically over a short period of time due to a very serious health condition .

Once you know the reason and after it has been treated , if it can be treated, then wait to see how that pans out before re-submitting an application.

At the end of the day, nothing is worth risking your husband's life or well-being.

I have sent you a PM and would be pleased for a reply to that.
Thanks
